SGX appoints Daniel Koh as new CFO
He succeeds current CFO Ng Yao Loong, who is taking on the position of head of equities
THE Singapore Exchange (SGX) named Daniel Koh as its new chief financial officer (CFO). He will begin his role as CFO-designate from Oct 1, before transiting into his role as CFO from Dec 1.
Koh was previously with Standard Chartered as managing director, global head of treasury markets.
He succeeds current CFO Ng Yao Loong, who is taking on the position of head of equities, said the bourse on Monday (Sep 23).
As CFO, Koh will oversee the entire spectrum of the finance and corporate development functions of SGX, including corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and accounting.
“His deep expertise in financial services and strategic insights will greatly support SGX Group’s long-term goals,” said Loh Boon Chye, chief executive of SGX.
Koh graduated from the University of Oxford with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts. He has extensive experience in the banking and financial industry, having led global teams in treasury markets.
Shares of SGX closed on Friday S$0.11 or 1 per cent lower at S$11.25.
