‘Clarkson’s Farm’: Production Crew Set To Film UK Farmer Protest This Morning As Jeremy Clarkson Heads To London

EXCLUSIVE: Clarkson’s Farm fans could be seeing the host in a different guise in Season 5 as cameras head down to London this morning to record Jeremy Clarkson‘s appearance at a farmer protest against the UK government.

Deadline is told that production crew on the hit Amazon show are joining the ex-Top Gear host and some of his Clarkson’s Farm co-stars at the protest today, alongside thousands of other farmers.

The farmers ire has been raised by the Labour government’s decision to introduce inheritance tax on farms in its recent budget – dubbed the “tractor tax” – along with various other measures that they say will impact rural communities. Farmers have warned that some farms may have to be sold off due to the inheritance tax plans, although Labour has downplayed this and said they won’t impact many farms.

Joined by his Clarkson’s Farm co-stars Kaleb and Charlie Ireland, Clarkson headed down this morning as tractors descended on Westminster, offering up some rather interesting images that will be captured by the cameras from Clarkson’s Farm producer Expectation, we are told.

For the past few years, Clarkson has been embedding himself within the farming community via the Prime Video series, which is one of the streamer’s most-watched UK shows.

A fifth season was greenlit earlier this month and Clarkson has used the show on his Diddly Squat farm to tackle issues such as upkeep and sustainable farming. The renewal came ahead of next year’s Season 4 premiere after the documentary series broke viewing records for Amazon in the UK.

Clarkson told The Sun that “two coachloads” of farmers were heading down from Diddly Squat, adding that the inheritance tax alteration is a “hugely important issue.”
